THE WATERBOYS were formed by Mike Scott in London 35 years ago. They play rock and roll, soul, funk, country and folk music brewed in the melting pot of Scott’s songwriting. Their most famous numbers include The Whole Of The Moon, Fisherman’s Blues and How Long Will I Love You and Scott’s songs have been sung by Prince, Rod Stewart, Ellie Goulding, Bono, Tom Jones, The Wonderstuff, Boyzone, Steve Earle and many others. Their latest album Where The Action Is was released in May to fantastic reviews. The current line-up, their best-ever, features Memphis keyboard man Brother Paul, legendary fiddler Steve Wickham, Britain’s greatest tubthumper Ralph Salmins, Aongus Ralston, “the funkiest man in Ireland” on bass, and soulful backing vocalists Jess Kav and Zeenie Summers. They are delighted to step in at short notice to play for the Rewind audience and promise a fabulous show with all stops pulled out.
