REWIND FESTIVAL’s PINK FLAMINGO CLUB IS BACK WITH A “BOOM, BOOM!!”

As well as all the top acts appearing on the main stage at Rewind Festival, Henley this year our friends at Greatest Hits Radio are taking over the Pink Flamingo Club on the Friday night and will be celebrating the 80s & 90s in style.

Greatest Hits Radio have recruited some very special guests to kick off this year’s festival in a very special way on Friday 15th August.

Hosted by Jenny Powell, prepare to be entertained and dance your leg warmers off as the Pink Flamingo Club features live appearances from the OG 80s entertainer, Timmy Mallett, and there will be gladiatorial games with Jet (aka Diane Youdale) from the original and best Gladiators. There’ll also be a special DJ set from GHR’s very own Jackie Brambles, her first since the days of a well-known Road Show and another from CBBC legend Andy Crane.

And if that isn’t enough there will be a VIF (Very Important Fox) guest DJ & standup appearance from the one and only icon of British TV screens … Basil Brush! We’re guessing he’ll be playing some songs by ‘Foxy’ Music.

THE STARCATS ft Neal X, Slim Jim Phantom & Phil Polecat will also be headlining the Riverside Stage on Friday night plus there’s the return of Rewind favourites J G Collective, bringing those big tunes and even bigger vibes you know and love; and get ready for the infectious rhythms of the Raspo Steel Orchestra and be uplifted by the soul-stirring harmonies of the Reading Gospel Choir as part of an action pink packed line-up over the WHOLE weekend of 15th-17th August.

Finally, a big Rewind welcome to Noasis (Oasis tribute band) to the Pink Flamingo Club who are a must-see for any Britpop fans - the perfect way to close out your Sunday night. And to end the festival with a final bang, The Doctor will be closing the Silent Disco on Sunday night with a head-to-head DJ set with another of our Silent Disco DJs. Who wins? …. You decide!

Just a reminder: Friday night access is only available with a Weekend Camping or Weekend Non-Camping ticket so make sure you’re all set! We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor.
